Energy efficiency solutions for irrigators

One of the most important issues for farmers is irrigation. In fact, energy consumption in agriculture has increased in recent years due to the modernization of crops. The fact of having gone from a traditional irrigation system to pressure irrigation, or to the use of irrigation wells has meant a greater energy demand. Therefore, we have created this technological solutions kit for irrigation systems and pumping systems.

How will we do it?

We will assess the farmer’s irrigation unit
To present the best possible solution.

Our solutions will be without investment
Here are the solutions we have to offer:

The press talks about our technological solutions for irrigators

We can replace your primary meter and best of all, free of charge

The price that the irrigator paid for the rental of his primary meter will be replaced by the Linkener smart meter.

The change of secondary metter wiil allow you:

Receive the electric bill
with actual meter readings and per calendar month

Real time monitoring
of pump consumption

Automatically verify
if the electric bill is correct

Know if the bombs are operating correctly and if they are consuming higher than normal

Receive power cut off,
supply or overvoltage alerts

Avoid reactive energy

Detect posible
cable theft

Primary meter with 4 relay module

Many irrigators have different powers contracted for each period or time zone. To limit the start-up of their pumps within periods of sufficient contracted power, they use clocks or programmable automatons that have a different clock than the meter. So, when these or the primary meter are adjusted on time, the irrigator receives an economic penalty for excess power in the electricity bill.

To avoid this situation, Linkener offers the possibility of integrating a module of 4 relays into the primary meter that carries out the operation of programmable automaton but using the primary meter clock. Thus, it is possible to limit starting up the pumps for periods without receiving any power penalty. It is very important that the watch is part of the primary meter because, otherwise, the irrigator may suffer electric bill penalties.

Remote activation

In addition to regulating by hourly sections, I can get the irrigation well engine to run in the cheapest hours of OMIE and thus the savings for irrigators are usually between 10 and 15% of what they paid on their previous electric bill.

Remote activations allows the farmer to:

  • Know which irrigation hours are the cheapest. On average the difference in the price of OMIE between a few hours and others is 15%.
  • You can turn the meter on or off remotely or from a distance.

With a monthly cost of less than 15% in savings.

Our kit includes probes. They are what allow us to measure crop conditions by remote so the farmer can make important decisions.

The probes together with the algorithm that we developed at Linkener allows us to:

  • Forsee weather changes
  • Control the water status of crops
  • Anticipate the appearance of pests
  • Calculate evapotranspiration and temperature
    Save 50% in electricity consumption

So, do you join the energy efficiency of irrigation and pumping systems?
